Thanks mygenius for your info, But Bob your information
was "DA BOMB"!!! Went to the site and there it was, just as it was displayed on my moniter. Simply amazing.
Ok I've done eveything. Have installed up to win98SE,
BUT-STILL NO MOUSE. I have checked everything in my initial bootup from CMOS to password(for example) and I
dont know what step I am missing to get this mouse installed. I fdisk, partition, format c, save system for c, install 3.1-hoping mouse.com and .ini would process itself into the upgrade of 95, 98, 98SE. YET NO MOUSE.I really need HELP now!!!
Thanks for everything George

1. The article [Q141497] describes how to use Device Manager to check the status of a resource (such as an IRQ line, DMA channel, memory address range, or I/O address range) and stresses the importance of checking the status of a resource when installing a new device or when a resource conflict is suspected that cause a device not to function.

2. The article [Q311261] discusses a procedure for removing duplicate CD-ROM devices listed in Windows Device Manager by restarting the computer in Safe Mode, but could apply to any other device as well. Please be advised that anytime there appears to be a problem with devices -- or not in some cases - just do it, boot the system in Safe Mode, progress to Device Manager, check every item listed for duplicates (more than one item of the exact same device) and remove each and every one. Upon completing the entire tasks, then reboot the computer and note that Windows will restructure itself and the appropriate device(s) it finds present on the computer.

3. When viewing device information in DM, unknown device(s) may be listed next to a yellow question mark. Determining the cause of this "unknown device" may be difficult if there is no indication of what caused it, (Q133240).
