After browsing around, some ideas on memorializing Pat Tillman:

(Inspired by comments made on other sites.) I realize that Pat Tillman went to serve wanting as little fanfare made over it as possible, but this changes everything.

1. The Arizona Cardinals play at Sun Devil Stadium on the Arizona State University campus. Tillman went to ASU, and actually received the last available scholarship the year he entered school. 'Tis time to rename something at ASU - the stadium, the Field ("Pat Tillman Field at Sun Devil Stadium"), something! I emailed ASU to that effect - twice (the first bounced due to a full email server).

2. The Cardinals should do something as well, and not just retire his number 40. If they get that new stadium they want, maybe that could be named after Tillman? My email got through to the team.

3. I think that the NFL should retire number 40 across the league, as Major League Baseball did with Jackie Robinson's number. No email yet; I think the NFL website server has crashed.

After more browsing (and a suggestion from a friend), here's a better one:

I think it goes without saying that the increased post-9/11 deployments and Reserve/Guard callups have created some real strains on the families left behind. After 9/11, the Armed Forces Relief Trust was established to collect funds and allocate them to the relief organizations of the Armed Forces.

Perhaps a trip over to http://www.afrtrust.org and a donation of some of our disposable income is in order?

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
