Here, System Restore Was Disabled on All 1803 Updated Comps.

In fact, there were quite a few "settings" items which were changed after the update. But in my case, I was able to re-enable those things, including System Restore.

I first ran "CHKDSK /F /R /X" from an elevated command prompt to correct in file system errors(which takes quite a while) and then to fix System Restore, I opened the Control Panel, then "System", then the "Advanced System Settings" icon, then the "System Protection" tab, then the "Configure" button. I then placed a dot/tick in the "Turn on System Protection", then Apply, then OK.

Hope this helps.

It worked. Everything seems ok, printer works speakers work, programs work. I can't tell you how many times you have helped me. I am getting to old for this but I keep plugging along. Thanks again and bless you.
