Dead is dead. Every one they decide to honor, we Southerners just laugh and say, "another one our ancestors got, lol". Who knows, maybe my great grandad on one side of family, or great great grandad on other side of family "got'em".

Rest in peace,Brother!!!!!!!

I've had the Extreme priviledge of meeting CMH recipient,Sammy L. Davis back in '03 at a Nam Knights car show.I gave him a hearty hug and said:"Welcome home Bro",he responded in kind.

http://www.namknights.org/2003carshow.html FWIW,The Nam Knights got their asses in trouble at this show:The show is huge and the NY Times donated the use of their Distribution Center lot in Carlstadt,NJ.I guess you could say it kind of aggravated The Times when The Nam Knights allowed a Blackhawk from FT Drum,NY to land in the middle of their lot...rotflmao.(screw the Times anyway)...Happy

For those who don't know Sammy, the movie Forrest Gump was based on what Sammy did in 'Nam.

What gives one chills is when the interviewer asks Sammy,"How do you remember something like that,is it dream like?" Sammy answered,"it was just last night sir".
