I just order them from amazon.com as I don't want to deal with color shifts on refills or no-name brands. However I have used Amazon's own print carts where it was non-photo work.
--->> But you are right. Drugstore prints are often cheaper than printing at home. You are paying for convenience at home and even at 1/2 price the last time I did the math, the walmat/drugstore was still cheaper.

Our Canon Pixma ip4500 prints lovely digital photos, but it's really gobbling ink, even with the color intensity turned down; I think it might be full as cheap to get photos developed at the drugstore as to have to keep buying Canon's CLI-8 cartridges. I see that there are a lot of cheaper compatible cartridges on the market, but don't know which are likely to print poorly and/or burst in the printer and ruin it. Have any of you had decent results with compatible cartridges (and if so, what kind?) or really bad experiences that you'd be willing to warm me about? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jo
