Aerial or Television problem?

My problem's with an older television, normally perfect picture, clear, superb colour,no problems but now the picture's gone all 'fuzzy', unclear & undefined - impossible to see faces and writing on the screen is undecipherable! There is no waviness, lines, interference or ghosting. I'm wondering if this is an aerial problem as it's on every channel. Anyone any ideas?

Sorry to say; I wish it was the aerial ..but it isn't.

I believed that is known as blooming and if my memory is correct; I believed the CRT has had it.

Hi Ahtoi

Thanks for your information, it was a great help. Perhaps I will have to invest in a new TV then! Cheers.
