i have OSX 10.5.2 2.2GHz intel core 2, 2gb ram 667, macbook pro with like 10 gigs of free space and well i hate safari so i use firefox Happy Lately though when ive been surfing the internet randomly when i click a link my browser forces me to some stupid XP virus removing site but it locks up the browser and tries to download its .exe over and over untill i command q firefox and then its fine afterwards when i reopen it. if i can ill try to get the webasite it sends me too but its hard to do anything at all when it happens, firefox and everything else is up to date... please help me i cant stand this and it seems like everyone thinks macs are invincible... they aren't Happy

That's no virus or such.

It's a Denial Of Service or DOS attack. Your machine was never compromised so there is not much to complain about. In fact the only issue one could complain about is why such a site exists.

ya its something ive wondered too... i have random files now that keep showing up on my desktop too "bhfc1cst.exe". i mean i guess the problem comes in the fact that i work with such little disk space and i dont want anything bogging down my already bogged down system. is there some malicious program or is it a website, whats causing it? i assume you cant stop it yet. i hope apple is working on this...

Any OS would have that issue.

This is not an Apple only issue. Apple doesn't police the internet so why not stop going to such a site?
