advice/suggestion on my pc config?

by chuckles-s / June 17, 2006 1:48 PM PDT

hi all,

i'm about to configure a custom pc and here's my list so far. i'm an animator doing a lot of high poly 3D (3DS Max) and rendering and i'm also a gamer (tho my frag points wouldn't really reflect that..). Anyway i figured i'd try getting together something that could cater more to a high-end gamer but not too high that i'd send my bank account to hell. i'd appreciate any suggestions you all have.

here it is:

processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
mainboard: ASUS A8N-Sli Premium
( i heard the A8N32-Sli deluxe isn't very stable)
RAM: 2x Kingston 1Gb
HD: Maxtor 300Gb
Power Supply: HEC True Power 580w
Graphics: 2x ASUS 7900GT (256mb)

what do you think?
