My thought is that backup is multiple backups are best. That is, a full backup on one thing then a backup of what I can't lose elsewhere. Then a final copy off site or somewhere else even if it's in the shed out back.
Why not Time Machine?

Hi guys....I am a simple man running a Mac HD with OS X
Lion, version 10.7.5. I use it almost exclusively for storing and editing photographs-wildlife mainly. I am aware that I should have a little more backup than I already have and I'm considering buying Chrono Sync back up software and a WD 4TB external hard drive.
I already have 3 WD (2full) and a Seagate 3TB. I have been running my Mac almost daily for 2 and a half years and I know that one day it will break down so I want to be fully
backed up if that happens.
Any thoughts please on the combination I mention ?....it's an economical solution I believe and it's what we call in England 'belt and braces'.
Thanks in anticipation
