which is basically the same as the 17.3 that is offered at the link you posted. I really like it alot. As far as the crapware most of the top name brand computer all come with trial software and can be uninstalled. HP does have a nice tools that scans your system and advises you that upgrades are available for drivers and HP software that you can update with one click. HP also has it's media smart for viewing DVD's, TV, photos, video and music.
I am looking for a laptop for home use, to take on vacations, etc... I am not a gamer and won't have any large programs installed. What I am looking for is a scroll on the touchpad, I'd prefer a larger screen and don't like a bunch of preloaded stuff. I actually love my husband's basic Compaq for this very reason. We have 2 and they came very 'clean' and actually run faster than my daughters $1600 Sony...go figure. Anyway, I'd like to upgrade just a bit from the basic Compaq and thought about this one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I'd like to do the easy pay on QVC, so if you know of any that would be better, here is the link to all of them:
Thanks so much!
