Advice on SD Card Reader Mp3 Player?

by EnnTeeEss / September 14, 2008 3:34 AM PDT

Hello,

I'm searching for an SD Card reading Mp3 player with the best battery life. 10 hour battery life just won't do. I'm not even concerned about display. The only two qualities I'm concerned about are battery life, and it must play from an SD card of at least 1GB. I hope someone can help!

Interesting product.

I've heard reports that some of this type of player (maybe not this model) can have problems with the memory card working loose, but otherwise positive for the price.

I had a look at a similar Alba model recently in the UK but it had a small screen and took MMC memory (hard to find but maybe compatible with SD ?).

A viable alternative for the poster may be a mobile phone with MP3 and card slot. The cheapest in the UK is probably the Sony Ericsson W200i, though this takes more expensive Sony M2 memory.

The card has no positive latch.

It's designed to be easily removed just like any SD card. Your "spec" limits us to things like this.

go with the creative zen. 36 hour battery life and expandable memory with sd cards. about $80 for the 2GB model.

Cowon D2 has SD slot.

It's got a slightly fiddly touchscreen and is a bit of a nerd's delight (i.e. compromised usability, very customisable, half-assed features, etc) but it's basically a decent player. ~50 hours runtime with 128k MP3's. It will support SD, as well as many SDHC cards.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
