Advice on Problem with Norton 360 version 5.0

Jan 29, 2012 2:04AM PST

I installed Norton 360 version 5.0 (via CD ROM) on my window XP yesterday. After it removed my existing version 4.0, not only that it did not proceed to install version 5.0 but also collapsed my CD Rom system completely. (I tested with other CD Rom disk. With panic I took my computer to an expert to restore my CD ROM system (and loaded Norton 360 version 5.0) at a price plus my 1 hr time spent.
Upon my contact with Norton today (after being referred to 3 different phone numbers), I only received an additional 6 months of coverage. The customer representative also advised me that I should have contacted Norton to resolve the problem on line for free.
Please notice this advice if you run into the same problem. Contact Norton 1 800 745 6054
