advice on Digital Camera Purchase

I just posted message about finding good size of camera. I also want to say that I don't need anything real fancy but would like to take short videos, have adequate LCD, good stabilization,lighting,etc. I am looking for $200-350 range. I really want something that I can hold on to without fumbling it because of small size. Please Help! I've looked at Canon SD450, Kodak (various models), Sony, just not sure what to get. Seems Kodak larger models are quite simplistic where a few bells and whistles would be nice. cajungirl45

Look at Canon Powershot S2 IS

I was looking for the same things in a digital camera...I've been researching for a couple weeks, and finally settled on the Canon Powershot S2 IS..It has very good reviews for both still pics and video..Also, it has some neat extras like color enhancement,etc. I ordered from Dell.com, on sale for $339 with free shipping..I ordered it yesterday, and it has already shipped. Can't wait to try it out!

There is a newer model, the Canon Powershot S3 IS, which is basically the same camera as the S2, just a different color with a couple subtle difference, and of course, costs more since it's new.

Good luck with your decision! There's so much to choose from!
