Advice Needed - Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero 5?

Sep 4, 2009 10:13PM PDT

Right I've been a fan of guitar hero since the 2nd and have been working my way up the difficulties. But now, after seen the songlist for rockband 2, with its massive catalog of downloadable songs, i feel that maybe rock band should be my next purchase in the music-rythem genre:

What do you guys think, rock band 2 or guitar hero 5?

Also, I'm used to the circluar gems on guitar hero that stream down the fretboard, this leads me to my second question:

Will switching to rockband take getting used to with the "blocks" instead of "gems" coming down the fretboard and will this cause me much trouble?

Thanks -
*I do own guitar hero world tour so i will get the songs from the song transfer to guitar hero 5 for 280 mircosoft points

Sorry if this doesn't help.

But from watching others the play list is what many care about. For them, that's why they chose one over the other.

As to blocks, gems, etc the brain tends to re-learn small things like the quickly so I don't expect trouble.

Honestly...I enjoy Rock Band 2 better. I mean I have both, but the playlist on Rock Band 2 is far superior. The DLC is amazing. I do like the Guitar Hero instruments a bit better. My advice: get both. They are both great, but I think RB2 is better. Of course, this is all on my music taste, and yours could be completely different. Check out the playlists and see which one looks better to you. As for note shapes, you won't notice a difference.
