have the software to go with it. I use the pro version of Sony Vegas, DVD Architect, and Sound Forge. Sound Forge does the heavy lifting with respect to audio. Sound Forge can be called directly from Vegas to work on the audio within a video clip. When done, save the file, and the results are immediately refelected within Vegas.
Hint: I am NOT talking about the $99 Studio versions of these products. I do not know what capabilities are included in the lite versions.
I have a Gateway GT5032 (Athlon X2 4200+, 1GB RAM, 160 & 250GB HDs, TV capture card, DVD-Burner (DL supported), and Windows XP Media Center 2005). I'm using Media Center 2005 to record TV shows, edit out the commercials and burn them to a DVD.
My issue comes in the choice of programs to accomplish this. Right now I'm using Media Center 2005 to record, DVR Edit to remove commercials, Nero 6 to recode to MPG (usually extended quality), & Nero to burn. So far, I have had trouble w/ the quality of the sound (I have to increase the volume 2X over normal TV & movie level) and with fitting it on a regular DVD. I do not wish to have to buy DVD DLs, but if I have to then I can.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to increase the sound quality and still be able to fit the finished movie on a regular DVD? Thanks in advance for your advice.
