Advice for new computer built

Dec 30, 2015 8:04AM PST

My name is Marc and I am building my first computer. I bought all the pieces and a friend gave me a graphic card and I was wondering if this graphic card is worth it to game in 1080p. The graphic card is a GTX770 2go DDR5.
Here a list of my build: i7 4790k, rip jaw 2x8go 1600ghz, mobo msi z97 gaming m5, evga 750W 80 gold plus, corsair hydro series h80i gt, with a ssd kingston of 120go and a seagate hdd 1to, i bought 2 additionnals fans for my case (antec gx500 window). is the gtx770 still good for todays game like fallout or its better to change it for a gtx 960 or 970? cant wait to receive all my pieces!

thanks for your help!!!

Since the gpu is free give it a test run.
The gtx 770 is not a bad card but it's a power hog.
If you want to move above that card your looking at a gtx 970 or greater.
