Advice about what "digital compact camera" to choose!

I'm am looking at a small but good quality camera to buy. Like the "PL60 Samsung" (10.2 megapixel) for about $1500. Any advice about other brands and cameras that will be a good buy for around $1500??

Samsung PL60 (aka SL420)

Be sure to look at the sample photos.
The PL60 has an excellent lens.
Sharpest lens I have seen on a small camera in a long time.

I don't know what country you are in, but $1500 US Dollars seems too much to pay.
In the USA, that camera sells for about $150.

Samsung ST1000 (CL65)

I am a user of Samsung ST1000 (CL65) digital camera which has GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features that I enjoy a lot. It is about US$300.
