Advent T9002 turns on but nothing boots up

by terryN09 / February 16, 2008 4:35 AM PST

I have a T9002 and the problem is that whenever I turn it on nothing boots up.
The fan starts up and it sounds like everything is starting up but the fan doesn't slow down and everything sounds the same.
Nothing boots up, nothing appears on the monitor and the monitor works perfectly.
I pressume it's a hardware failure, but I have no idea what it could be.
Any ideas what it could be?

How Do You KNOW The Monitor "works perfectly"?
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / February 17, 2008 8:18 AM PST

Have you tested it on a different computer? If not, you need to do so.

If you've tested it on different computer and it works correctly, then does the POST information show up on the black screen at the very beginning? Or does nothing at all show up..

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode?

How To Start In 'Safe Mode'

If nothing is displayed at all on the screen, I tend to lean toward a motherboard problem.

Hope this helps.
