Question

Advanced File Fixer Fails To Fix

I purchased AFF but find that after scanning my system and detecting errors the program does not fix (eliminate) the errors. After 24 hours the same errors and number of them are back, again.
Twice, I have emailed support@advancedfilefixer.com about this issue but have not received a response, although the company states that customers can expect a response within 24 hours.
Bottom line, unless I'm not doing something I should be doing the program does not work as advertised.

Looks like abandonware. I'd uninstall it and then ask in these forums how to fix what you are trying to fix.

Uninstall/Re-install Suggestion

Thanks for your input, R. Proffitt. I'm a bit hesitant to uninstall a program which I've previously paid for, since I don't want to risk having the vendor tell me that I need to re-purchase the product. It's not like I own the disk.

By the way, since this reply feature allows for photos, I'll insert a link, below, that illustrates my issue without a confusing explanation.

Re: picture

After reading your first post I went to their site and found it quite unclear what the program is supposed to fix. And it was even more unclear what kind of errors you were experiencing that you thought needed fixing.

And it's still unclear what "After 24 hours the same errors are back, again" means. I can only read it as "They were gone, but they reappeared." You can't blame the program for errors reappearing, after they were succesully fixed. It surely never says it will prevent future errors.

Anyway, your picture shows it's just some registry cleaner. Since it's best to never use them (just in case they clean too much) just uninstall that program and never again think about it. The registry is best left alone unless you know exactly what you change.
Sorry to see you spend money on a totally unnecessary program.

Thank you Kees.

I agree. Just an old app out there occasionally finding a new user to drop 20.

Hello Fellow Members, I finally received an email from the Advanced File Fixer support folks. Long story real short: Please try to click "Fix all" in the Windows 7 safe mode.
It worked! Thanks to all of you for your input!
