Advanced Excel Viewer for Android

Jan 7, 2014 7:45PM PST

I am developing an Advanced Excel Viewer for Android that will support any Excel file in the app with user friendly viewing capabilities. What features would you expect in the app?

Annotation? (Annotate a chart and share with you manager?)

Charting? (What are the popular charts?)

Should I focus only on MS Excel viewer (skip the editor since its a crowded market?), the app may cater to users who have a need to only view Excel sheets everyday (MIS Team, Middle and Senior Managers for decision making).

The app could be used to view, analyze and collaborate on the Excel. Some nice features for viewing, first level analyzing and collaborating???

Do you see a market here?

A small market.

Thanks to your question I took a fresh 2014 look into where Office (like) apps stand on Android and surprise was the word as the free title I wrote about was just one in a crowd but stood out.

If you are building your resume, I would proceed but not over invest.
If you are looking to make money, I'd focus elsewhere but that's your choice.

Which target market ??

I can't imagine that many folks are looking for an advanced Excel application for a phone. Maybe on a tablet though.

Would be for both phone and tablets.

As is past tense? While historic software can be interesting why not "existing" software?
