Everytime you buy one AMD or Intel come with a better one in a few months. Not buying it when you need it, however, isn't a good alternative either. So basically you can't do anything about it.
Luckily, the old CPU and the old program keep working!
Boy am I upset ! I am wondering if others have had similar issues with Adobe!
I have been a long time retail customer of Adobe. I HAVE NOTICED A VERY OBVIOUS TREND.... I guess I am pretty stupid because I keep getting burned by these guys...
I have purchased.... not pirated...PURCHASED their video/audio products in the past. HOWEVER, it seems that every time I make a purchase of one of their great and wonderous products - within a couple of months 2,3,4 they ALWAYS seem to come out with a NEW and IMPROVED version....... AND THEY WANT YOU TO UPGRADE... AT A FULL UPGADE PRICE !!!!. Hmm, they KNEW when I purchased the product that it was 'out of date' BUT they still charged me FULL price and then wanted me to PAY for the upgrade. ALWAYS WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS. I am sorry to say that I got stung by this more than once.
Lately I purchased Adobe Premium Pro CS4.... JUST LIKE PREMIERE 7 (WHICH I HAD ALSO PURCHASED...) I had the same experience... Their official website was already only providing support for the NEXT version... In the first case it was Premier 8. In the latest, it was Premiere Pro CS5 !!!! It seems that every time I purchase one of their products..... within a few months they come out with the NEXT GENERATION of the software .....AND..... they will not provide any UPDATES..... they insist upon a PURCHASED 'UPDATE'. This is really unacceptable. They are ripping their consumers off and should be made to 'UPGRADE' any software they sell for at least a minimum of time ( articulated to their customers in advance)
