Question

Adobe problems

Oct 2, 2011 1:08AM PDT

When opening a PDF from the internet, the file is opened in Word, however in "other encoding"- Japanese (Shift- JIS). I have researched the net and cannot find a way to change this to where the file opens in English. I have dumped and reloaded adobe to no avail. Do you have any suggestions as what to do or where to find the answers?
Thank you for your time,
D. Trammell

If you run Adobe Reader and then use File>Open in that program to open that file (first download to your hard disk), it's sure that it won't be opened in Word. What happens?

If Adobe Reader gives any error message please post the link to the file (or the link to the webpage that contains that link) so we can see how it goes with us.
