Adobe PhotoDeluxe HE 3.1 problem

Sep 11, 2005 12:08AM PDT

I have many pictures in my Adobe Photo Deluxe file. I can no longer access them. I get two messages when I try to open APD HE. The first is an Error Starting Program message; The SHELL32.DLL file is linked to missing exportmSHLWAP1.DLL:SHRegGetUSValueA. After I hit OK, this message is on screen under the previous; "X" C:\ProgramFiles\PhotoDeluxeHE3.1\PD3.EXE.
A device attached to the system is not functioning. Any ideas on how to fix this mess?

Mike

Similar problem and my solution...
Sep 11, 2005 12:55AM PDT

I have Adobe PhotoDeluxe HE 4.1 which was recived with an Epson Scanner. It's always been flaky and with little problems... only solution that has worked for me is to reinstall the software. The last one has held for some time. Also you might check for updates to that version... may be difficult as I understand PhotoDeluxe is no longer in business and support may be hard to find.

Best of luck!

Glenn

Try this
Sep 11, 2005 11:48AM PDT

Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photo Deluxe3.1\My Photos
You can burn the "My Photos" folder to a cdr, then reinstall the program. Once you have reinstalled, simply copy and paste the contents of the folder back to the same place.
