Adobe Flash Player 11 will not install...HELP!

I have tried for 2 days (at least a dozen times) to install Adobe Flash Player 11 from Adobe's website and this one. My computer is a Dell Inspiron Windows XP Internet Expl.8 and because of area must have Dial Up. Just got my comp. back from the shop (virus, but now protected) and had to reinstall several programs. I want to play games at world winner like I did before but cannot download most of the games because I cannot get the appropriate Flash Player. I have Flash Player but not the 11 update. I'm afraid if I uninstall what I have, it will not reinstall again and I'll get the same error messagesTHEN WHAT? Error messages I get are: Unable to contact trackers, Download timeout (after 12 seconds), Cannot contact reliable source. So time consuming and frustrating. Anyone got a solution in plain words? Thanks!

Adobe Flash Player 11 will not install...HELP!

First of all, what is an OS? Optimized System? Organized Software? Other Stuff?
My computer was cleared of everything and programmed to its original state. The serviceman offered to install Norton but I already had bought from Walmart Fix It Professional which he says is suitable and installed that. The program fixed all registry errors at that time.
I have had no virus problems since and the computer is working as agreeably as one can with the inferior dial up connection. The ONLY thing I cannot get it to do is to download Adobe Flash Player 11. I did try at the official site over and over and over again. Then, I tried at other sites but they only linked me back to Adobe. I turned off the firewall and the virus protector and also the pop up blocker to no avail.
If I uninstall Adobe Flash Player, the dial up server depends on that and I'm not sure if I could connect again.
I'd forget about it but I love playing Scrabble Cubes at and that game requires the dreaded AFP 11.
