Which windows operating system are you using?
Are you able to roll back, (Restore), to a point before you installed the updates?
This may not fix the problem you were having with updating Adobe, but at least you should get your previous version back and working.
Also, is this a known problem? Try going to Adobe's web site;
http://www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html
and check their FAQ's or Support forums.
Good luck

I bought Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard Version 6 or 8 mo's ago. Yesterday, while in the process of opening a PDF document, a message appeared asking me if I wanted to update to 6.0.2 and I clicked yes. After installation, I am unable to open PDF Documents from my various applications. In fact, now Adobe Acrobat won't even open at all (from Programs, or from Icon).
I tried to uninstall 6.0 but get errors that prevent uninstalling (Internal Error 2379.32, PDFMaker.dot) and Error 6.0 Error 1306, which states PDFMaker is controlled by MS WORD.
Bottom line: I can't uninstall AA, so I can reinstall it, and , it doesn't allow me to open PDF documents.
What can I do to correct the problem?
