I forgot to insert a password, can I go back and change or do I need to re-install OS?

Thanks

My question to you is... Why not use Help and Support for this?

Because the system is not mine, I am just helping a friend who won a free copy of the OS. Yes, win not borrow.

The feature is in most Window versions. I forgot a big item!

It's a simple self-help tool. Be aware that I don't hand out fish, but do fishing lessons so you can solve small issues like this on your own.

What I forgot to mention is that on a new Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 install, the MS Blaster or other worm can install itself within seconds of connecting to the internet. No antivirus will stop these. The results vary, but since you are new to this OS, here's an article on what to do before it connects to the internet to get the patches.

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.html covers all the angles that will save you from having to remove this one or its varients.
