To get such to work we had to make all the hardware identical and write login scripts to check that our settings were enforced. The problem here is that such skills usually don't exist or the management won't pay to remove non compliant hardware.
Don't take this wrong. By asking the question that usually means your IT staff don't have any programmers. They look for click here solutions which I haven't found.
-> But let's try this. Since adhoc mode can't log onto your network maybe there is no issue to solve?
Also, if you can move to compliant hardware only will you pay for driver development that strips out ADHOC from the driver?

I have to administratively control hundreds of wireless cards,I want to be able to disable ad hoc mode in each of them. Since I am the Admin, and the users only have USER rights, is there any way I can push out a script, program, ect. ether through AD, or LANDesk, or any other way, to lock down the wireless card to Infrastructure mode, and not let the user change the settings when they are off the "wired" network???? HELP!!
