Address book crashed, continues to crash...Help!!!

Dec 11, 2007 8:11AM PST

I was editing my address book and all of the sudden all the entries in my address book were gone! I don't have a back up, as I just started to add them. So I thought I would sync on .mac. All of my addresses synced on .mac, but they're not in my address book. Where in my computer did they go?
Oh and address book non responsive, as is mail when looking in address book. Have to force quit...

Thanks for the advice...tried and didn't work. My address book seems to freeze up when I click on directories. Don't know if there is any connection there.
Any other suggestions??? Getting tired of the beach ball...
Thanks
