Additional Vizio E600i-B3 Questions

May 20, 2017 7:48AM PDT

There is a thread here already for a very similar Vizio model, but it's closed and i still have some questions.

I'm looking for optimum calibration settings. However, the other thread doesn't mention gamma setting which are 1.8, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.4. Any thoughts on what may be best?

Also, when there is a bright object somewhere on a dark background, a horizontal bar of a lighter shade runs across the screen that extends through whatever the bright object on the screen is. Is that being caused by the active LED zones or something else? More importantly, how do i get rid of it? It looks awful!

Some basic info: I mainly watch blu-rays in a dark room. My player is a ps4 and i use an hdmi cable.

I can't find how to edit, so i'll ask a question i forgot here:

That sounds like a defect worthy of return if the maker can't correct it.

1. Be sure the TV firmware is current.
2. I have yet to hear of anyone fixing the noted defect.
3. As to DIY calibration, there are so many prior discussions that I no longer get into that.
