Let's say I put each tab into it's own "process." Now if a tab crashes I will only lose that tab and not the entire explorer browser.
This new system has some folk mystified.

When I open an internet explorer window, additional iexplore.exe processes are started. I might expect one additional instance to occur, but now I am getting additional ones started. And when I kill the ie window, the processes stay in the processes task manager window, like they are still running. Also the additional processes are running in the background, because occasionally music will start playing from one of them that isn't my active window. They don't show up on the task bar. virus maybe?
