Adding Windows recovery console to Winxp pro bootup...

by stevesd619 / October 8, 2009 2:02 PM PDT

When I had occasion to use Combofix.exe before, it had the capability of directly downloading the Windows Recovery Console and adding it to the bootup selection menu.

I can't get my winxp pro sp3 o/s disk to work, and yes, I have a valid purchased copy of the OS. I slipstreamed SP3 into it. Happy

Does anyone know of a way to directly download some software program that can do that as well, without resorting to combo-fix...

I tried the start run i386 method and it said it couldn't find the file..

If there is a program that can do this, I would be greatly appreciative of the info.

Thank you,

Stephen aka complearning123

Is there not a program that can install the recovery console like that which is in combofix?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
