Adding Windows 200 to 'The Mix'

Jun 1, 2005 12:34AM PDT

Hi all,

I have a dual boot of Win 98SE and XP Pro, as well as Linux on the one machine. I'd like to add Windows 2000 'to the mix' but I know that you normally would have to install 98, then 2000, then XP to make it work. Is it possible to add 2000 after XP has already been installed?

Yes but.

You know the supported method. Partition Magic has it's tools to make this happen, but is not supportable.

Best of luck,

Bob

What about this?

What if I tried re-installing 98, that would remove the current bootloader, then install 2000, then repair XP and finally restore the Linux bootloader. Would that work for me?

In theory yes.

But you won't know till you try. It still remains an unsupportable setup.
