Question

Adding Wifi to Desktop Computer

Apr 10, 2014 2:53AM PDT

I am just an amateur with computers. I have a Gatweay GM5470E desktop computer and would like it to be able to receive a wifi signal. What do I need to buy to accomplish this? It is running Windows Vista Home Premium.

As mentioned, a USB adapter would work, but

it might be good to know what you wanted to receive that you're not getting now. It's quite possible to create connection problems when two network devices are active at the same time. If you are wired for internet access, you don't want a wifi adapter doing the same at the same time.

Call your internet provider and they will usually walk you through the process.
