Adding search engines in Netscape 7

by gthoenen / February 27, 2005 3:06 AM PST

Netscape tries very hard to make you use its own search engine rather than any other. I do have Google as a separate "category" in my search sidebar, but I have found no way to find or add other search engines to the sidebar search drop down or to make any of them the default search engine. Both the on-screen Help and the printed Netscape manual say that to set or add another search engine you should "highlight the search engine in the list on the left", or "Click the search engine you want to use." The problem is that the only search engine that shows up on the list is the Netscape engine.

Is the _anything_ I can do (besides changing browsers) to add other search engines?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
