Adding old desktop themes to Win2K

Sep 6, 2005 6:16AM PDT

Is there any way that I can add the desktop themes from Win 98SE to my desktop's Win2K-Pro?

I recently put together a new PC. And I wanted to install 98SE and later upgrade to Win2K-Pro so that I could save 98's settings (including the variety of desktop themes 98 provides). The setup of 98 went ok but, since I couldn't successfully later get the Win2K setup to finish as an update, I had to later install Win2K-Pro only with a "clean" setup.

Is there any way that my Win 98SE CD can now be used to add to Win2K any or all of the themes that 98 provides? I always loved the "Inside Your Computer" theme for the mouse pointers it has (spinning disk and monitor with scrolling text instead of hourglass images).

If the 98 themes cannot be shared with Win2K, is there a website (maybe Microsoft) from which I can download such a chosen theme?
