Adding mulitple calender events to outlook, how

Is there a way programatically to add mulitple appointments at once to the outlook calendar?

I have tried vcs files and draging and dropping the vcs file to outlook. This works but you can drag and drop only one entry at a time.

I want to write 3. Can this be done? Is there a way to tie these entries together?

Is there another way other than vcs file

We did such with Visual Basic.

It's an inhouse application that 'talks' to Outlook and can do just anything we can imagine and code up.
