Adding in video card

Dec 3, 2003 5:11AM PST

I have a Gateway 300S series desktop computer. I had this last year for my birthday. I have a question to ask. I am going to install a video card to my computer, but it has a built-in video on the motherboard. My friend told me that certain computers can disable the built-in video from the motherboard, but not some of them. I am not really sure if my computer can disable the built-in video. Can you please help me on this? I would like to know about it. My tower is a easy-access micro tower. Do you know what to do? Is there anyway to disable the built-in video from the motherboard? Should I call Gateway to see if they can tell me how? Email me at back2thefuture594@yahoo.com. I really need your help. Thank you.

Hi Ray
Dec 3, 2003 7:40AM PST

I've noticed that people that leave their email address and ask for someone to email them, they rarely if ever return. I've even emailed some people to tell them there was a response to their post and they didn't even acknowledge it; either back to me via email or in the forum. The one time I got a response, I told the person to take it to the forum, to 'share the knowledge'- I subsequently got flaming spams, lol. So I don't respond to any posts when the poster asks for someone to email them. I'm not saying this about this particular person. I'm just taking this opportunity to vent a little. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving, and hope you enjoy the coming holidays.
