I'm not familiar specifically with the Sony HTIB's, but as long as it has optical and/or coaxial digital audio inputs, you should be able to get DD sound just fine. Likewise, if it only has analog inputs, you should be able to get analog stereo audio just fine as well. However, you will NOT be able to play HD audio off the Blu-Ray since the receiver does not decode these new lossless formats (but can handle DD/DTS just fine) and because that particular blu-ray player does not have internal decoding.
i have a sony dream system (home theatre) and a new bravura hdtv. the dream system is 2 years old and i just bought a sony BDP S350. will i have to buy a new receiver/speaker system? the dream system has a 5 disc dvd player and is a receiver as well. what do i need to get to work with the new blue ray/ hdtv for sound?
