This area has no repair tools. When this happens, manual uninstalls or uninstall when provided are used.

Since each software installs in it's own way the removal differs. Here's the short method:

1. Delete the folder that the program was installed to.
Example: C:\program files\tubb2 would be deleted.
2. Delete the shortcut in the menu to tubb2.

After u do all of that, which I have. U r left with a listing of said program still inside of your Add/Remove Programs I.E. I can`t Delete it from the Add/Remove Programs. I click on it & it asks me "This will remove "Caoia" Continue?" Yes or No. I click on Yes of course & a error message pops up & reads " Error cleaning up "Caoia" program directory. Uninstall aborted". I have also tryed 2 reinstall then uninstall by going 2 the Add/Remove Programs & I get the same messages. Please help. Thanks.

Are you "bcrowley1"?

You added a reply to an existing discussion, but it's unclear why you can't use the simple uninstall method I noted.

In closing, the area of uninstall is not perfect. There is no apparent cure so manual deletions are the norm. After the manual deletion, one finds a tool to remove the item from Add/Remove's list.

I am not bcrowley. I can use "the simple uninstall method u noted." it just that I would like 2 get rid of the progam`s listing in the "Add/Remove Programs". Manual deletion has worked 4 me in the past it`s just not working with this said program. Thanks.

Many tools to fix that entry.
May 14, 2004 11:43PM PDT

Be aware that there are many solutions to delete an entry in Add/Remove.

TWEAKUI is one. http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000568.htm

The next issue is that many can't use TWEAKUI since they can't install it. Hint: read the instructions....
