by karenabotta / May 16, 2006 1:59 PM PDT

I seem to have lost the ''remove'' button in my add/remove folder. Don't have any idea why! Can anyone tell me how to fix it???? Please!

When I click on a link in the Add/Remove box
by DarCLew2 / May 16, 2006 2:10 PM PDT

at the end of the link it has Change/Remove. If it is missing then I would go to system Restore to an earlier time when it did work. Darrell Lewis

In reply to: Is yours fixed???

in my case (and the other mentioned in the second thread)
I could not apply any of the suggested fixes as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\Microsoft......\Uninstall\<Program Name> - the programs I lost buttons for were no longer listed.

Have you checked- in my case a lot of programs totally disappeared from Add/Remove folder.

I had to reinstall programs one by one.
If you find a solution please let me know.

I don't understand,no where in the link i provided it mentions saving a file.

In my first post, the link talks about going into the registry, nothing to do with saving files.

Karen, when you go to Add/Remove Programs -are there programs installed on your computer that are not listed ? ( not only buttons missing , but programs not listed in Add/Remove?)

If so then your case seems exactly like mine . I tried all the suggestions offered on this forum, nothing worked, perhaps you need to install these programs again.

most are there

In reply to: Add/remove entries

There may be a few I can't find in add/remove...But there are many there, but when I tried to Do Tom's fix On winxpfix page, Under uninstall in REGEDIT... Most of the programs didn't show there... Hope that's clear!
