Today's printers may not use this old thing. Try this. Use the instructions given with the printer. Do not use this old wizard or the other bad button you see called "Update Driver".
When I try to add a printer, I go to control panel, printers and faxes, and try to open the "Add printer", but nothing happens, I assume because somehow there is no file for the shortcut to point to. is there a way to add this file, or will I have to reinstall windows? I thought of reinstalling service pack 3, but will that work? I'm using windows xp pro, sp 3. Thanks,
