Resolved Question

add a replacement computer to domain

Mar 6, 2012 8:15AM PST

To add a replacement computer to a domain, therefore using the same computer/user name, do I have to to "delete" or "disable" the user first, from the server. It will not let me use the same computer name as before because the server is recognizing this name already. I would like to use the same computer name...but how?

The answer I get when I do that it has found an account for that machine name and do I want to use it.

I do it every three years with 200 computers.

I am unable to this, wish I could. I am running Windows small business server 2011. Does this make a difference when trying to use the same computer name?
