Add 2nd hard drive

I am running Win XP SP3 with a 250 gig SATA hard drive. I would like to add a second SATA hard drive (160 gig) strickly for storage of files. How do I do this? Do I need to use the Jumper pin settings? Thanks in advance

The only jumper I find on SATA is

One to limit the SATA speed to 1.5Gb. Only you could know if that's needed as you check the documentation for the machine that has the SATA port.

Try it without....add it if you experience any problem.

Does your MB support SATA 1.5 or 3?

More important...where's you backup ?

'where's you backup ?"

I love a good typo in the morning. My answer is "my driveway."

where's you backup ?

My driveway.

That's my answer and I'll back it up!
