Adaware problem

by Gwendolyn / February 27, 2006 12:33 AM PST

I have a Win XP Dell computer. Recently updated the Adaware personal se. Every time I try to do a scan, the computer crashes. Blue screen, fatal error..

I uninstalled, reinstalled a couple of times. Never had this problem before. No problem on my other computers.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Gwen

Thanks, I have most of those. The problem is I have used adaware for years and it's only since the last update that I cannot scan without my computer crashing. I don't know why.

I used Adaware Free for years and never had a problem with them until I got this version, Adaware SE Personal and I have not gotten much info from Lavasoft that worked, mine kept getting incripted and starts freeze up with other programs, how this happens don't know--I am disppointed in it and removed it finally from my computor, I already have Microsoft Spyware, Owedo,Spy Bot, Spyware Blaster, CW Shredder and sence I have Internet Explorer I dump all cookies on my computor every two weeks, I have a software program that holds my signin codes in place What else can I say that is it. Good luck
