From a slightly overtapped PSU to an antivirus suite blocking app or driver from starting. There are some motherboards with issues as well.
Since it's a new issue be sure to ask the maker to correct or refund this one.

I have an Adaptec RAID 6405E card with a RAID 10 array on it. The array is 4 - 1TB Velociraptor drives. 80% of the time that I restart my computer, the mapped drive doesn't show up, so I have to go into device manager, check under storage controllers for my card, click Update Software Drivers, Browse my computer for driver software, Let me pick from a list of device drivers, and then select the correct driver. After doing so, it takes less than 2 seconds to "install" the new driver, and then the array comes back online and shows up and is fully functional. Any solutions? I'm running Windows 7 off of an SSD, my OS is not on my RAID array.
