Question

AD's following me across sites?

Oct 6, 2012 2:43AM PDT

Over the last couple of weeks I have been working on my dad's car. I noticed a few days ago that any time an advanceauto ad appears, the items I was searching for on the advance site are in the ad (idler pulley and ac bypass). Whats causing this? and How do I stop it?

I know I can use the "do not track" feature, but there are a few sites I dont mind using cookies on, Unless theres a "do not track unless its XYZ" feature I'm not aware of.

any idea's and suggestions greatly appreciated.

tech specs:
firefox 15.0.1
os windows vista SP2

No I havent, There is a handful of sites I dont want to remove the cookies for. So I would need to go through them all one by one. I've never used ad block plus but considered it. not familure with WOT

Thanks.

C0000005 is a permissions issue.
Oct 7, 2012 2:19AM PDT

Could be a folder access thing. Try other cookie managers and learn about folder permissions (NTFS).
