Acura EL Jerk issue

So i drive a 2002 Acura EL which just had an engine change due to a cracked head gasket. This was happening previously but it seems that my car sometimes give a kick after a rolling stop (for example). So if take my foot off the gas, start braking and when I go back to the gas, my car gives a kick that ranges in how powerful. It doesn't happen all the time but it is worrisome as I think its the transmission but I hope not as that would cost another chunk of money. I'm just looking for someone to try and diagnose the situation without actually testing the car. Thanks for your help in advance as it is very appreciated .
