Actress needs some help

Nov 14, 2011 5:51AM PST

Hi I am a aspiring actress and while I dont do it often I was asked to go on tape for a movie audition last week. I did it at my house against a white wall using my "you tube camera".

It was pretty much a disaster....I didnt use a tripod...my reader was too close to the sound of the camera so he was drowing me out....and the lighting was giving off a "yellowish" glow not to mention the lighting in the room was not great.

I have a tripod now....but I am wonderng if my "you tube" camera is really good enough to give a good audition movie to my reps....I was thinking about looking for a used camcorder as I dont have a lot of money but I am not sure what I should be looking for in the specs.

It doesn't need to be fancy....it just needs to show a good video of me with decent sound as I sing and act in my taping auditions.
