Active Web Cam (AWC) Does Not Work with Logitech cams

Jul 29, 2005 6:27AM PDT

Everytime I "Search Cameras" in AWC, I get two error msg, which indicate a problem in video capture for both of my Logitech Quick Cam Pro 4000s (Logitech web cams are on the Pysoft tested list).
Pysoft tech support (e-mail only) attributed the problem to drivers, stating that "Some device drivers don't allow capturing from more than one device simultaneously." I downloaded current drivers from Logitech website & still had same problem. I reported this to Pysoft & have received no response.I DO NOT RECOMMEND Pysoft Active Webcam.

What happens when you can't duplicate their tested setup. I've found that what they said is true when I tried to develop a multi-camera system. I had it working then new camera drivers came out and that was that. I don't think PWC is at fault here.

PYSOFT has the worst help and advice. They just take money then give you wise-guy you-must-be-stupid kinds of anwers. Pay more, go elsewhere, save your time and money be not using thier products. CNet and Download.com should remove the links. Just my opinion.
