I was asked to set up a guest Wi-Fi network for work. Does anyone know if the Actiontec c1900a Modem has the capability to do this? I do not think I can without connecting a router to it. Does anyone know if this is possible or any advice on how to approach this scenario?

So essentially we would need to upgrade to a modem that allows for Multiple SSID's (2+)?
You asked for a guest network. That does presuppose multiple SSIDs but a guest network is more than just another SSID. Remember I can't duplicate the web here but can check on basics like this.

I did see where this modem/router had a setting to turn it into just a modem to let you add just a router. That's a little less work and opens up the choices.

I have the TP Link C9 Archer (phrasing!) and after a firmware update it's been stable. I don't need to reboot it daily like many others.
